Information we collect
When you use Dotlify Voice, we may collect account details, device information, usage information, and the content you choose to process through the service. We collect only what is needed to provide, secure, and improve Dotlify Voice.
If you contact us, we also receive the information you include in your message, such as your name, email address, and support details.
How we use information
We use information to operate Dotlify Voice, personalize your experience, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, and understand product performance. We do not sell your personal information.
We may use aggregated or de-identified information to improve our products. This information does not identify you.
Voice and transcription data
Your voice recordings and transcripts are processed to provide the features you request. We retain this content only for as long as necessary for the feature, your settings, or our legitimate business needs.
We do not use private voice content to train general-purpose models without your explicit permission.
Android app data and permissions
Dotlify Voice is a voice dictation app for Android that lets you speak into text fields in other apps. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and display name to create and identify your account. We do not receive your Google password.
When you dictate, microphone audio is streamed in real time to our servers and passed for speech recognition. Audio is processed to produce a transcript and is not stored as an audio file beyond what is needed to complete transcription.
Dotlify Voice uses Android's Accessibility Service to insert dictated text into the focused text field. We read the focused text field for this purpose. If you enable Context awareness, which is off by default, we may read nearby on-screen text so dictation can match names and formatting. Context awareness can be disabled in Settings.
The Accessibility Service is automatically disabled in recognized banking and financial apps and in password fields. We do not use it to record, log, or transmit general screen activity outside the dictation feature.
Dictation history and dictionary words may be stored and synced to provide review, copying, and improved recognition. Snippets are stored on your device. The app may request Microphone, Display over other apps, and Accessibility Service permissions; each is optional, and the app explains what may stop working if you decline it.
Your choices
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. You can also unsubscribe from non-essential communications. To make a request, contact privacy@dotlifyvoice.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Data retention and deletion
We retain account data, dictation history, and dictionary words until you delete them or delete your account. You can delete individual dictation entries or dictionary words from within the app.
To delete your account and associated data, use Account → Delete Account in the app, or visit dotlifyvoice.com/delete-account. Deleting your account permanently removes your dictation history, dictionary words, and account information from our servers.
Children’s privacy
Dotlify Voice is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Dotlify Voice evolves. We will post the updated version here and change the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where appropriate.
